Traveling is one of my favorite thing to do, it is really good to be out there exploring and having fun trying out new things. I travel a lot mostly together with my family, and it is really one of the memorable and the best memory I can have. The best trip I have yet, is when we visit the Hundred Island in Alaminos, Pangasinan.

Alaminos City, referred to as the “Home of the 100 Islands”

which is located at Pangasinan. Even though a place with separated islands, it is still a place of united people with the attitude of optimism and sense of adventure. The islands are believed to be about two million years old. There are actually ancient corals that extend well inland, in an area previously comprising the seabed of an ancient sea.

I spent 2 days and 1 night in Alaminos, Pangasinan together with my family. It was really worth it ,and if I have given a chance to travel there once again, I’ll definitely be back and enjoy the wonderful and amazing views and foods there.

Then all the plans on my birthday celebration got cancelled, she didn’t gave m e allowance for 2 months and also we didn’t talk for almost 2 months. For almost 2 months, and still my mom didn’t believe me even i said it all the truths, and she didn’t give me such a chance to explain what is the truth. I already say sorry to her but she didn’t accept it.

MY REFLECTION FROM THE MOVIE

” BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA”

This movie is not like the typical children’s fantasy novel, the story includes mature themes about loneliness, platonic love, parental affection, family relationships, religious or class differences, and even death. This movie somehow shows a lot of scenarios where I can really relate myself from.

Just like the role of his Father which is very busy with his work and shows no physical affection toward his son because of shouldering many responsibilities of the family, and that led Jess thinking that he’s not important. I felt the same way because my mom decided to leave us and go abroad to work, and I felt unimportant because of her decision. Jess is angry to his father because it seems like he didn’t understand him, as well as he never praises Jess for his talents but does criticize him for his faults. I myself was once become angry with my mom because she didn’t understand my own reason why I don’t want her to leave, it would be really hard without her on our side especially we’re still young. Jess is longing for his father’s understanding , feeling alone in his family because he is the only boy and his father is away most of the day, and I’ve experienced that kind of longing for my mom to stay here with us. There’s also a part in the movie were Jess experienced depression, he blamed himself from the death of his friend Leslie.Depression causes feelings of sadness or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. When my mom left I felt the same way with Jess. But as the story goes by there is acceptance happened to the film, Jess became a good son to his parents and had a normal life, I just accept and understand my mom instead of being angry to her. At the end of the day it will be your choice, to be happy or not, to heal yourself and continue living. Jess and his father start to cope up with each other, and make a strong bond together, while me and my mom, even she’s away from us, we never had a single day not talking to each other. This movie taught us there’s always a sunshine after the rain.”BE IMAGINATIVE, AND MAKE IMPOSSIBLE THINGS, POSSIBLE.”

just do it!

Work hard, train hard and play hard, sports has been a famous event in this generation.

Sports can show a hidden potential of a certain person for his or her talent. All famous athletic persons started from the bottom and work hard to be in the position that they want to be in. Sports has been a strand in the Senior high school curriculum which is a new material to education, this strand brings the potential of a student to go beyond on the limits of his or her own on his or her desired sport track.

Thus this strand is a training ground for young athletes to be strong enough on the profession that they need to be strong to. Nike “just do it” brings the potential of a person to the highest, thus this company produces products that would greatly benefit on sports, thus these products are not only for sports it is also for fashion and a trend to most millennial in our generation especially the shoes that has been produced by this company. Sports in this generation is not all physical, some are strategized like chess checkers and other mind games, nowadays there is called an E-sports where the sport is a game that has been played through computer technology but it is still debatable if this sport is an actual sport but other companies like nike and adidas supports and sponsor E-sport since it is a strategized game and needs a team work to win the game.

ARE YOU EXCITED FOR SCHOOL?

Summer time is a season where most students enjoy their accomplishments, hard works and achievements that they did in the school, although these achievements is easy to be dreamed about, the ways on achieving it is not so much.

Break is over and another time for school is about to start. Teachers, parents and other people tend to have a highly expectations to the students, thus this builds pressure and stress towards the students on maintaining and reaching the standards that the students are expected to.

Anxiety, depression and mood swings are one of the obstacles that the students needs to go through in order to achieve the Golden metal that would be rewarded for being an excellence. Stress and pressure are not only for the teachers, faculty staff and elders; at the very young age young students tend to experience these obstacles, students tend to smile more to hide their true face in order to show to the society that they are strong and mature enough to handle problems on their own.

Failure is a fear to most students nowadays and considers it as a mistake or a sin in their lives. Most students strive hard to accomplish these expectations to the point that they cannot balance their time for rest and school which leads to mental health issues.

Hot Summer Fashion Article

Processed with VSCO with q5 preset

Summer season is the very hottest season of the year. It starts from the beginning of March and ends on the June. Summer is all about being fun and colorful, and expressing yourself through your clothes so don’t be afraid to go all out.  In this season, most people want to spent their time at home resting, while some want to go out and enjoy the striking sun. It creates more enjoyable movement for the people. Mostly it is best to go out on the beaches and parks to spent some time and also relax and unwind themselves under the skies.

If you plan going out to the pool or the beach, you better get your bikinis ready. Some of the girls like to hit the gym up to prepare their body for summer so they can look great or be confident with the bikinis they are going to wear. But others don’t have a chance to loose wait or to be fit for summer for different reasons, maybe too busy at school or there’s no free time because of work. In these cases, you might feel embarrassed to show some of your skin in public, you can get uncomfortable and shy about your body, but now, one piece bathing suits are often labeled ‘unsexy,’ but I think they exceed the definition of sexy and are greatly under appreciated. A one piece shows sophistication and elegance and detailing like deep V-cuts to show off the back or chest that can add a little fun. So if you don’t want to show your stomach,no big deal, all that matters is that you are comfortable.

Also on this season, people are looking for the best outfit they have. What we will wear this summer? a question by fashion freaks when season starts. Women like to wear trendy clothes, the thing about this, is that you never really know if the sundresses will fit you the way that you want them too. A woman will always want something that looks nice and that she will feel comfortable in at the same time. But the key to achieve a fashionable look for this summer, is to wear your confidence within you.

It can be difficult to articulate the power of style and fashion through words, but these icons managed to do so with quote-worthy, inspiring words of wisdom to live by.

08 . 18. 18

I shall never forget how I spent my 18th birthday on the 18th of august in this year. I never thought that I’ll be having a debut party,  a traditional Filipino coming-of-age celebration which celebrates a young woman’s 18th birthday. It was really difficult because I only have a month to prepare the whole party, it was just a simple debut. A one night celebration of legality with closest friends, family and neighbors.

On the big day, I came early to my venue with Cednick, Cath, Jairuz and Adrian, my friends,to help me prepare for the party. Well my party didn’t start with the typical flow of the debut, were the debutant will have an entrance with her beautiful ball gown. What I did was, I started with the unexpected production number, which the whole crowd was really amazed and surprised of how I did my entrance. I’m really nervous that night because I only had two days of practice of a 7 minutes performance, were I danced and sung. But I was thankful that it turns out well. During the performance, I can’t help but laugh while dancing , because of the reactions of my relatives and neighbors, well the dance was a little bit sexy so no wonder why everyone was really shocked and clapping.

After the debut, I had this after party, which I know all of my friends are excited for. The pool is open for anyone , there’s a comfortable room, foods, drinks, and even a karaoke. My family just let me party all night and they leave the party as well. So I was responsible to accommodate every single person who stayed just to party up all night. I have a lot of group of friends ,so I was roaming around had a short conversation to each of one of them not showing how exhausted I am. Around 4 am, it’s already the 19th, most of my friends are already in their own rooms resting, while some are still partying and enjoying the night. I decided to go to my main best friends’s room, I lay there with them feeling the tiredness in my body. We talked about things that happened during the debut, but my eyes slow shutters and had a 30 minutes sleep. Then the sun came up, I woke up every body, made my other friends to get out of the pool, and made them to start packing up because it’s time to leave the resort. When I got home, my relatives welcomed me and greet me once again a happy birthday, I bond with them for a short time then I immediately go to my room and had peaceful sleep. My body was tired but it was indeed a special, memorable and unforgettable night.

A lot of things happened during the event, but the most memorable for me was, when my mom gave her message for me that made me cry like a baby, I had river of tears that night. A thousand thank you will never be enough to show my gratitude and love for my mom. And that sums up of what happened during the night of 08 . 18 . 18 .

Life of an Angel

My name is Angelica G. Niego, I was born on the 18th of August, 2000 in Pasay City. Me and my younger brother grew up under my mom’s custody because she was separated to my father since when I was 10 years old. After my parents split up, my mother took all the responsibilities in parenting, financial provisions, and giving education for us. The strong and amazing mother I was talking about is Hernina Niego, my incredible mother.

“Graduation Day” year 2007

In 2006, I started going to school as kindergarten in Paranaque, it is still the moment when my parents are still together. My childhood is just normal as like everyone else had. Back in 2009, we moved in Cabuyao, Laguna for good, where me and my brother started our elementary years in Mamatid Elementary School. It was a new environment for us since we just moved in and we need to have an adjustment regarding with the people and the place but as time goes by we are able to cope up with the changes we had.

“Best friends” photo taken in the year 2016

2013 I graduated from Elementary and started my high school year in St. Vincent College of Cabuyao. High school is something that I really looked up for because they say that high school is the most enjoyable and memorable year. And yes indeed, my whole journey as a junior high school is like riding a roller coaster, it’s sometimes scary but it’s fun and full of excitement. Also this is the year where I met my best friends and until now i’m happy that I am still friends with them.

“United Nation Pageant” year 2016

In year 2016 I am already a grade 10 student, and one of the most unforgettable moment I had from this year was, I joined my very first pageant, which is a tribute to our United Nation Program where I represent our beloved country Philippines!!

In junior high school, I was always with my friends, we hanged out a lot, after school before stressing over a school activities or work, we ate street foods and spend a little time talking and laughing and if there’s a free time we love to watched movies together.

 “Enchanted Kingdom” year 2015

Back in 2015 I remember we planned going to amusement park . Everyone was so excited to have fun and enjoy all the rides, and it was also my friend’s birthday that makes that day even more special.

On the same year, we spend our sembreak going out together, we go sliding in splash island, we enjoy the wave pool, the scary giant slides, the foam party, and the lazy river. If you want a good place to be wet under the sun, splash island is one of the best place to visit with.

In 2016 before Christmas, my family decided to go on short vacation in Baguio. The long trip going there was worth it because there’s a lot of beautiful places and views there.  This is a peaceful piece of land filled with different species of flowers, beautiful ponds, towering Pine trees, stone paths, and a few nipa huts. This is the best place to play with your camera and take photos of nature.

Back in my junior high school moments ,the moving up ceremony and the retreat we had before moving up in march of 2017 was one of the amazing event in my life. The day were all of our emotions are in between. Happy because the long wait is over, we can finally start our new chapter and get ready with our desired profession or career. Also we felt sad and emotional, because of the friendship and thousands of memories we built together is about to end. My favorite part of the retreat was, when my batch gathered together and start to reminisced, shared all of our realizations, and cry like a baby from the heart melting letters of our parents. It was a touching night for me.

In December of 2017, one of my memorable moments was the wedding of my cousin. The wedding was held in Pangasinan, and I’m one of the bridesmaid. After the wedding me and my family decided to go and visit hundred island which is located to Alaminos, Pangasinan. I really seized the moment there, the breath taking view and beauty of the island left me appreciating nature even more. I really wanna go back there to relax, eat delicious sea foods, get tanned and go swimming of course.

In the same year it was my favorite year, were my family from abroad and from the province reunited here in Laguna to celebrate Christmas together. We are so loud and everyday was a disaster, in a good way! I remember some of my cousins put up a bed and sleep in the balcony it was really funny because the space of our three storey house is not enough for my family. We celebrate Christmas and New year together, and I love spending it with them. They are the best, I love them so much.

“Niego Family” Christmas Night

And on the Christmas eve, our church Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Vicente Ferrer , had this play before Christmas and I was given a role to play as Mama Mary were I’m so overwhelmed by the trust they’ve given me to play as Mama Mary. I can’t denied how nervous I was back then, the church was really occupied by a huge crowd, and all of their attention was yours,I just did my best and enjoy the whole play.

In senior high school , this is 41793812_297464651041874_4734322835265159168_nwere I’ve experienced a lot of things, it was really different from junior high school. My best part here yet, was the moment we won as the best thesis in English from all the grade 11 students and best in presentation in our Filipino Thesis. The stress, efforts, sleepless nights, and hard work are all worth it. Me and my group we’re also thankful to all of our teachers who guided , helped, and made this journey possible. We are humbled and blessed.

During the summer in May 2018 , I was also given the opportunity of our church to participate in our Barangay’s Flores De Mayo. My friends was there to help me with my huge ball gown and to walked with me in the long street of Mamatid, our barangay.  People are everywhere, taking pictures, smiling and waving to you, so I need to be elegant and smile back to people especially to the kids who were really amazed of how I looked. After that day, my body was in so much pain from the heavy crown, gown, and long walk I had. Yet it was a great experienced that I will cherish.

“First I will bleed, stumble, and cry. Then I’ll make sure there’s no tears left to cry. Work your dreams and everything will be worth after while.”- Angelica G. Niego

Now in the present, I am already 18, a grade 12 student, focusing in my studies and sometimes doing sidelines such as handler, trainer, and a judge in beauty pageant. I’ve learned a lot of things from my experiences. And now I’m looking forward for my graduation , my career in college, my future profession and success. I’m on my way to the reality, to meet my expectations and to give back to my mother who gave her whole life for me and my brother. I’ll be braved and start where I am, use what I have, and do what I can. Like what Napoleon Hill said “The starting point of all achievement is a desire.”

“In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.”
